Adorable Newly Born Moose Spotted at Red Feather Lakes [PIC]
Springtime means more baby animals are popping up in Colorado, including a baby moose that was spotted at Red Feather Lakes in Northern Colorado.
Facebook user Deana Lehman spotted this calf and their mother at Red Feather Lakes, which is roughly 45 miles West of Fort Collins.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife wants you to remember that baby mammals are scentless to help protect them from being found by predators. However, when humans touch young animals, they impart them with their own scent, which their parents won't recognize. This can result in the abandonment of healthy offspring.
So, enjoy these youngsters from afar. Take lots of pictures, but don't touch them or approach them.
