7 Colorado Hotels You’ll Want to Check Out in 2023
Colorado has thousands and thousands of places to stay. How about a list of seven of the best hotels that you should have on your list?
Colorado hotels range in variety from very fancy, to very cheap. It all depends on how much you want to spend, or maybe how much adventure you'd like to insert into your travel plans. Visit Colorado has seven that you may want to keep handy.
WHY THESE SEVEN INTERESTING COLORADO HOTELS?
Visit Colorado's winter 2022/2023 brochure lists seven hotels in Colorado that have recently been "revamped."
What better way to make some travel plans than by staying at a place that cares enough to renovate things?
Maybe these places have been in need of "revamping" for a long time, or maybe they just needed some "sprucing up." Whatever the reason for their renovations, they have gone through the effort, so checking out the list is the least we can do.
STEAM TRAIN HOTEL - ANTONITO, COLORADO
THE BROWN PALACE - DENVER
If you were needing a better reason to stay at the legendary 130+-year-old Brown Palace, the fact that they've recently revamped is a good one. The top two floors, the "Top of the Brown" sleeping rooms, are the rooms recently redone.
HOTEL COLORADO - GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLORADO
CLUB HOTEL - IDAHO SPRINGS, COLORADO
The Club Hotel dates back to Colorado's mining "Gold Rush" days. In one of the hotel's incarnations, it was named Hanson's Lodge, whose sign still resides outside while they renovate the whole property.
MAX HOTEL - LAMAR, COLORADO
The Max dates back to being an art deco hotel in the late 1930s. Today it is a hotel that has furnished apartments; there is also a trendy bar downstairs.
DELAWARE HOTEL - LEADVILLE, COLORADO
As old as Denver's Brown Palace, the Delaware in Leadville really takes you back to Colorado's Gold Rush mining days, as gold was first discovered in the area only 2 miles from the hotel.
THE WESTERN - OURAY, COLORADO
The Western, which went through extensive renovations during the pandemic (2020-22,) dates back to 1891. You'll find that renovations kept the "Old West" saloon and dining hall, as you stay in very beautiful Ouray.
