The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded 5 airports in Colorado $7.6 million in infrastructure grants.

The FAA grants will go to Denver International, Durango-La Plata County, Lake County, Pueblo Memorial and Wray Municipal airports.

According to the FAA, DIA will get $1.3 million to reduce aircraft emissions on land. DIA will reduce aircraft emissions by connecting the parked airplanes with central heating and cooling systems.

Durango airport ramp will get repaired with the allotted $1.8 million.

Leadville's Lake County airport will get a parking lot built and ramp repaired with an allotted $600,000.

Pueblo airport will make a perimeter fence with $3 million.

Wray will get $900,000 for a taxiway.
