66-Year Old Man Identified in Weekend Drowning at Dillon Reservoir
Paul Kresge has been identified as the 66-year old man who died in Dillon Reservoir on Saturday afternoon, according to 9 News.
Kresge drowned after heavy winds capsized his boat, a search party found Kresge's body on Sunday morning.
There were 34 mph wind gusts on Saturday, per the National Weather Service, during the time Kresge's boat flipped.
His boat was part of the Peak 1 Regatta hosted by Dillon Yacht Club, said Summit County Rescue Group public information officer Charles Pitman.
According to the Summit Daily, the Peak 1 Regatta is the first race in the yacht club’s summer series with six more races planned throughout the summer.
