2 Popular Trails Closed This Memorial Day Weekend in Fort Collins and Loveland
The 'official' start to summer is getting a soggy welcome this Memorial Day Weekend, and some traditions, like hiking in Fort Collins and Loveland, will have to be put on hold due to the rain.
If your tradition involves getting out into the great outdoors and meditating with Mother Earth on a hike, those plans will have to be set aside for something a bit less down to earth.
The spaces will be closed until the County sees them fit and safe. The Larimer County Department of Natural Resources will be keeping a close eye on these spaces and update us if there are any changes.
The upper and lower parking lots at Horsetooth Mountain Open Space are closed and so is the Blue Sky Trailhead.
Other trails and areas are and may be closed, and to get up-to-date information through the weekend click this link: larimer.org/naturalresources/conditions.cfm
