Work to Widen Highway 34 in Loveland Begins January 6
When the full project is completed, there will be three lanes, east and westbound between Centerra Parkway and Denver Avenue.
Hold on to your butts, as they say. Though the first part of the project won't affect traffic too much, it all gets underway on the first Monday of 2020.
It's a nearly $6 million dollar project that should be complete by winter of 2021. Having grown up and currently living in Loveland, I can tell you this has been a long time coming.
On Monday, January 6, 2020, they'll beging working on the shoulders of Highway 34 between Denver Avenue and Boyd Lake Avenue. According to the City of Loveland and the Reporter-Herald, this should take about a month. Then things calm down until spring.
Starting in April, through September 2020, they'll begin 'Phase II' of the project, where they start adding the additional travel lanes in that area.
By the end of 2021, we should see three lanes in both directions from Centerra Parkway to Denver Avenue.
