A woman who allegedly shot at a Weld County deputy and two Firestone Police officers has been charged by the Weld District Attorney.

41-year-old Sarah Hesser faces one count of criminal attempt to commit murder in the first degree — a class two felony.

The incident occurred on Feb. 13. A Weld Deputy attempted to contact Jesser, who was staying at the Econo Lodge off Interstate 25 and was wanted on previous warrants.

The Firestone officers assisted the deputy. Shots were fired when contact with Jesser was made. No officers were injured in the incident.

A judge set Jesser's bond at $1 million. She's scheduled to next appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on March 9.
