The woman who died in a Fort Collins house fire on Sunday has been identified. 32-year-old Rachael Max died in the blaze at 4512 Idledale Drive.

Max is the daughter of Doug Max, who is the former CSU track coach and longtime athletics administrator at Colorado State.

According to the Coloradoan, the home belonged to Doug Max and his wife Cindy. The origin and cause of the fire are still under investigation.

Memorial Service

A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 13 at 10 am at Timberline Church in Fort Collins. CSU’s athletic department launched a GoFundMe campaign to support the Max family as they deal with funeral costs and  repairs of the home.
