Spring snowstorms are expected to return to Colorado on Wednesday. Then, the Fort Collins/Loveland area is predicted to see rain turning to snow, with more snow expected on Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Larimer and Northern Weld Counties from late Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon. About 3-8 inches are expected.

The watch is mainly for Fort Collins, Briggsdale, Sterling, and Julesburg, but includes Loveland, Hereford, Nunn, Grover, Pawnee Buttes, Raymer, Stoneham, Crook, Merino, Peetz, Ovid, and Sedgwick as well.

Look for rain to come in Wednesday afternoon, which will turn to snow, with the heavier snow coming later that night, causing hazardous/slippery driving conditions for the Thursday commute for essential workers.
