Windsor to Shut Down LCR 5 at Highway 392 for Several Months
The Town of Windsor will be working to make improvements along Larimer County Road (LCR) 5, which will mean a shutdown at a major intersection.
It's like that saying, 'To make an omelette, you have to break a few eggs.' On August 17, 2020, the Town of Windsor will be closing down 'through traffic' on LCR 5 between LCR 32E and Highway 392 until, hopefully, no later than Thanksgiving.
They'll be making LCR 5 two lanes in both directions, adding roundabouts at two busy intersections along the way, and other infrastructure needs; but the closure at Highway 392 could be quite problematic for many travellers across Northern Colorado.
The Town of Windsor has modified Westgate Road to act as a detour road to get to Highway 392 during the closure.
