Wild Mama Author Wants a Different Parenthood Experience [VIDEO]

Her articles and essays have appeared in print or online at The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, Outside, Backpacker, 5280, Proto, Ars Medica, and in various Travelers’ Tales “The Best Women’s Travel Writing” volumes. In 2012, one of her travel essays won a gold Solas Award.

Not only that, but for a few months every year, she and her husband pull their kids out of school and take them to exotic spots on the globe to live. Her tales of what it is like to live on an island off the coast of Mexico with young children even makes me a little nervous.
