Coloradans will always root for the orange and blue, but it's safe to say that the Denver Broncos haven't been great this football season.

Still, it's important to remember that better days are possible for the Broncos. Perhaps we can look to the past to get inspiration for the future.

According to a new report from The Action Network, the Denver Broncos performed best in the 2010s, scoring an average of 2.7 touchdowns per game and 438 touchdowns total.

If you look at points per game, the 2010s were still a great decade for the team, as they scored an average of 24 points per game and 3,810 points total.

Sure, we had quarterbacks like Peyton Manning and Brian Griese to thank for that, but maybe we can channel that hope into a successful 2022-23 season.

However, Broncos fans should also remember to remain realistic.

The Action Network notes that, in terms of touchdowns in the 2010s, the team lost to NFL favorites like the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, and Philadelphia Eagles.

Those teams also beat out the Broncos for points scored — a painful reminder that the grass is always greener on the other side (or in this case, our best decade, the 2010s).

Time to stay in the moment and manifest that the best is yet to come for the Broncos (at least we have a handsome quarterback).
