What The Elk? A Huge Herd Surrounds Colorado Home
Some days are crazier than others. Some days you can wake up, grab a cup of coffee, and go sit on your porch to enjoy a nice relaxing sunny morning. Then some days, you open your door and see 47 elk surrounding your house and decide that you're probably better off just drinking that cup of coffee inside your house.
That was exactly the case recently for the owners of a home in Estes Park that was surrounded by a huge herd of elk.
According to this video from Viral Hog, this occurred on Nov.14th:

Living in Colorado, especially in places like Estes Park where you're literally in prime wildlife territory, you just never know what you're going to see when you open your door and step outside.
I don't even know what I would do in this case. I'd probably just call Colorado Parks and Wildlife and let them work their magic. Hopefully, this happened on a workday because I think this is a wonderful excuse to call in and take the day off.
Usually, elk are pretty chill animals unless provoked or if they feel threatened so it's always important to never approach an elk or any wild animal whether you're on a hike or opening the front door of your home.
Especially during rut season, the males can be a little cranky and possessive of the ladies. Thankfully in this case, the elk were just enjoying some of that unseasonably warm Colorado sunshine.
