Investigation continues after Weld Central High School in Keenesburg received an anonymous phone call Friday afternoon, threatening to blow up the school.

According to a press release form Weld County Sheriff John B. Cooke, the school received the call at around 12:27pm.  A male voice on the line simply said "I'm gonna bomb the school," and hung up.  School officials decided to close the school out of safety concerns, due to both the bomb threat and the inclement weather.

Weld County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the school and in cooperation with school staff was able to trace the phone number. A sixteen year old student was identified as having the phone that the call was placed from. It is believed that the call was a hoax but school staff will be looking for anything suspicious within the school.
