Tornado Watch in Effect Until 7 p.m. for 16 Colorado Counties
It's that time of year- Storms. Storms, that can become severe and possible spawn tornadoes. Today's storm system seems to have that possibility today.
The NWS has issued a Tornado WATCH for 16 counties in Colorado, in effect until 7 p.m. tonight.
The 16 counties include- ELBERT LINCOLN IN NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO LARIMER IN NORTHEAST COLORADO ADAMS ARAPAHOE BOULDER BROOMFIELD DENVER DOUGLAS JEFFERSON LOGAN MORGAN PHILLIPS SEDGWICK WASHINGTON WELD
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AKRON, BENNETT, BOULDER, BROOMFIELD, BYERS, CASTLE ROCK, DENVER, FORT COLLINS, FORT MORGAN, GOLDEN, GREELEY, HOLYOKE, JULESBURG, KIOWA, LIMON, AND STERLING.

A tornado watch is issued when weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms called a supercell that is capable of producing tornadoes. A tornado watch, therefore, implies that it is also a severe thunderstorm watch.
