Top 3 Restaurants You Need to Visit in Longmont
We spend so much time talking about the great restaurants in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley that we tend to forget about another Northern Colorado city that also has great "not a chain" restaurants.
Longmont is only a 25 minute drive from Loveland and is right off Interstate 25. So if you're looking at trying something a little different and don't mind a short drive down the road, we recommend trying these great establishments. After I had the chance to try them the past week, I can tell you that you won't be disappointed.
I had the chance to try out their location in Longmont (they also have a smokehouse in Frederick) and the food was AMAZING. They have both Winter and Summer hours so make sure you check these out before you head down. I recommend trying the "Brisket Cheesesteak" which includes smoked brisket, cheddar jack cheese, peppers, and onions on french bread. Mmmmm....
At the Sun Rose Cafe, you not only can enjoy a great meal but also have some great entertainment as well. They do serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus you can get deli meats and cheeses by the pound so you can make great sandwiches at home. What do I think you should try? Well if you are there for dinner and want to try a starter, go for the Stuffed Dates with Gorgonzola Cream. I'm getting hungry just typing it up right now!
The picture above makes you want more doesn't it? While Lucile's has a few locations in the state of Colorado, that doesn't make them a chain and just gives me the ability to have their food whenever I am driving around the state. If you're looking for a place that specializes in breakfast or lunch, this is the place for you. Definitely try the Creole Omelet which contains spicy sausage and ham in a creole sauce. It is the perfect way to start out your day.
