Thousands Have Visited RMNP Since Reopening [VIDEO]

Now that Rocky Mountain National Park is open (on the state's dime) during the government shutdown, over 10,000 visitors have already flocked to one of the only open national parks in the country.

The state of Colorado is currently under a contract with the Federal Government to keep the park open for 10 days, but the governor could apply for more than that with enough notice.  Though, at $40,000 per day, the cost to the state is considerable.

Personally, I'm glad the park is open, if for no other reason than Trail Ridge Road into Estes Park is open!
