This Colorado Restaurant’s Crazy Food Challenge Features A Colossal 96oz Burrito
Even those with the heartiest of appetites might have a hard time stomaching this entire dish.
Over the weekend, I was scrolling through TikTok when I stumbled across this video:
Initially, I was too busy drooling to notice that this gigantic, mouthwatering, too-big-for-one-human-to-eat burrito is made right here in Colorado.
This is anything but your average burrito, however. This colossal-sized burrito is the star of the ultimate foodie challenge at Aunt Alice's Kitchen in Longmont, CO.
About The Big Daddy Burrito Challenge
According to Tabitha, a crew member at Aunt Alice's Kitchen, the Big Daddy Burrito is the restaurant's most-ordered item. However, while many have attempted to eat through the entire burrito, only a few have succeeded.
What's In The Burrito?
So, what stands between you and a clean plate?
This 96oz monster-of-a-burrito is stuffed with enough to feed a family - except, of course, this challenge is only meant for one. Certainly living up to its name, Aunt Alice's famous Big Daddy Burrito is packed to the max with:
- 12 eggs
- 1 pound of cheese
- 1 pound of hashbrowns
- 1/2 pound of gravy
- 1/2 pound of green chile
- & your choice of breakfast meat (sausage, bacon, ham, chorizo)
all wrapped in a mega-sized tortilla.
All participants are given one hour to eat their burrito; once the clock starts, the participant isn't allowed to leave the table until their plate is cleared (unless they surrender to the burrito, that is).
What's In It For You?
If you defeat the Big Daddy Burrito Challenge, not only will you earn yourself some major bragging rights, but you'll also earn yourself a spot and a picture on Aunt Alice's exclusive wall of fame, as well as a t-shirt commemorating your victory.
If the Big Daddy Burrito defeats you, well, it might make you feel a little better knowing that most people who attempt the challenge don't come out on top in the end... but at least you can say you tried.
Think you can stomach Aunt Alice Kitchen's Big Daddy Burrito? Personally, I don't think I'd stand a chance - but I'm certainly tempted to go and make an attempt.
Aunt Alice's Kitchen is located at 1805 Main Street in Longmont, CO; while the burrito might be the restaurant's most ordered menu item, it isn't the only mouthwatering dish they're offering up - check out Aunt Alice's full menu here.
