The Showdown Has Ticket Sales Slowdown
The energy between the University of Colorado and Colorado State remains high, but the need for fans to be there for the Rocky Mountain Showdown at Mile High Stadium might be slowing down a bit.
According to the Coloradoan, ticket sales have passed the 60-thousand mark (60,081 sold for both schools), but the average for the 17 games that have been played at Mile High is 68-thousand. Attendance had actually grown for the last six seasons and last year's game brought in 73,932 fans, the most since 2003.
It's worth noting that there's still time to purchase before kick-off Friday (7:30p). The weather is expected to be great with only a 10% of rain and the highs in the mid-80's. You can purchase tickets at CSURams.com/tickets.
If you can't make it to the game, you can hear it on our sister station, Rock 102.9.
