The City of Greeley Art Commission is seeking artists who wants to have their art featured on Xcel Energy utility cabinets throughout the city.

This is a new pilot program with the City of Greeley and Xcel Energy. The first set of utility cabinets will be completed in June 2019.

"This pilot program compliments the City of Greeley’s current efforts of painting and wrapping artwork on city-owned traffic utility boxes and aims to improve community relations, reduce vandalism and beautify our community." -Megan Garn, Marketing Coordinator City of Greeley Public Art Program

Because of the success of the artwork on traffic utility cabinets owned by the city, Xcel Energy chose the City of Greeley to be the first city in the nation to paint and wrap artwork on their utility cabinets.

Requirements to apply include: being at least 18-years-old and have liability insurance.

Two electrical boxes within the City of Greeley have been chosen for this pilot, one  wrapped and one hand painted.

Applicants may submit designs for both. Proposed designs must be received on or before Friday, May 10, 2019.

All applicants may apply through the website at GreeleyArt.com.
