The 2018 ‘Sharin’ O’ The Green’ 5K on St. Paddy’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday for 2018, so you know it’s going to be a huge day for Fort Collins! The annual Lucky Joe’s St. Paddy’s Day Parade is a feat to behold! Speaking of ‘feets’, before the parade- you can join in the annual 5K for Partners Mentoring Youth!

Statistics show that 1-3 kids will grow up without a proper mentor. Partners Mentoring Youth in Fort Collins works to make sure that those kids without a mentor, find one. One of their big fundraisers every year is the ‘Sharin’ O’ the Green’ 5K and Fun Run; held the same day as Downtown Fort Collins’ St. Paddy’s Day Parade.

The 20^th annual event for Partners Mentoring Youth will get underway at 8:00 a.m. that day at City Park, with the Shamrock Scurry- which is free for kids 12 and under. The Sharin' O' the Green 5K/Fun Run will begin at 8:15: The 5K is stroller and pet-friendly, so bring the entire family!

For those 21+ your bib will get you one free beer at Odell Brewing, redeemable at Odell's on St. Patrick’s Day through April 21! That’s great- no need to worry about getting over to Odell's ON St. Paddy’s Day, when all the post 5K/parade action will be in Old Town Square!

Pre-registration is now open until Midnight on March 15: $35 for adults, $10 for youth 3-17. Your pre-registration comes with a timed bid (officiated by USTAF) and a cotton t-shirt. It will be $5 more on St. Patrick’s Day for the 5K, so get signed up today and get ready to get your green on!
