My father, LaRoy C. Leisenring, Major US Army (ret) represented his country proudly as a career officer. Dad, served multiple tours in Korea and Vietnam. I could not be prouder of him. He carries himself to this day with a sense of pride and honor that I see amongst so many of our younger veterans.
Personally, I believe there is no bigger sacrifice than leaving your friends, family, and home to go fight for our country. Almost 1.2 million of our own are currently enlisted in the armed forces, and over 23 million veterans are still alive in the United States today.
