Ever since Occupy protester Benjamin Gilmore was convicted of arson back in October, the question of sentencing has been on a lot of Fort Collins residents' minds. This week, that sentence was handed down.

After one mistrial last year, and six days of deliberation this year, Benjamin David Gilmore has been convicted of his crimes.

Gilmore was on trial and faced seven felony counts and after a week of deliberating the jury could not agree on any of the charges. Apparently the judge thought deliberations had taken too long and that jurors might feel “pressured” to make a decision.
