Colorado Skiing

A big storm is on the way, so Colorado skiing is just going to get that much better. After a fast start, and then a lull, 2010/2011 was the biggest snow season ever in Colorado. 2011/2012 is just off to a slow start, but big snow is on the way...

Breckenridge is about 15 minutes south of I-70 on Co-9. It is an historic town and an historic mountain. The resort is celebrating 50 seasons! That's right, when they first opened to the public JFK was President, John Elway was 1, and nobody in America knew what a Beatle was...

I skied Breckenridge over the weekend, and man, was I on the chairlift with some negative Nancies. You'd think Mike Nelson announced that we'll never see snow again from the way these people were complaining. In my experience, January is rarely a great snow month for the resorts.

Copper Mountain Resort is right along I70. If you're driving by and not going skiing, the sight of it will make you wish you were.
