'Born to Run, Live: The Springsteen Experience' could be exactly what the doctor ordered to get you out of the house for a live show, and it's not far from Fort Collins.

It's been months since I've written up a story about a live show coming to town, and it feels... great.

Being in my 'mid-50's' now, I'm not one who gets terribly down about not going out to a show anymore, but this one's got me 'totally pumped.'

Call it a 'kick-off to concert season' show. That's right, we're getting the chance to see a Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tribute show at Buffalo Rose. A night of 'hoots and hollers' is hereby planned for me on the night of March 19, 2021.

Springsteen will be playing at the legendary Buffalo Rose in Golden, a classy venue that dates back to 1859 which completed an 18-month renovation in 2019. The renovation, according to 303Colorado.com, includes a Sky Bar, the State Room Cocktail Bar and the Buffalo Rose Event Venue.

The show, which is based out of Denver, ia about the music of Bruce, not so much the costumes. You won't see white t-shirts and red bandanas, and that's OK with me. Bring on the great tunes! Plus, the artists will do looong sets, just like Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band do.

I'm really excited to sing along to some Springsteen. Let me lay out my top five 'requests:'

  • Spare Parts (from 'Tunnel of Love')
  • The Rising (from 'The Rising')
  • Glory Days (from 'Born in the U.S.A.)
  • The River (from 'The River')
  • Atlantic City (from 'Nebraska')
