Sinkhole Closes West 22nd Street in Loveland [PICTURES]
West 22nd Street will be closed from Wilson Avenue west to Farisita Drive in Loveland for up to 10 days because of a sinkhole.
Emergency repairs to fix the sinkhole in the street will begin Thursday morning and the work is expected to take a week to 10 days to complete.
It appears the sinkhole is due to a failed irrigation pipe between the Louden Ditch and Rist Benson Reservoir. The City’s emergency contractors will replace the old metal structure with a new 30” concrete pipe.
