UPDATE:

One student, 18-year-old Kendrick Castillo, was killed and seven others injured in the attack on May 7, 2019. An adult male and a juvenile female have been arrested as suspects. They are believed to be students at STEM Academy.

According to the Denver Channel, at least one student has been shot and multiple students are injured from a school shooting at the STEM School in Highlands Ranch on Tuesday afternoon.

The school is located off of South Ridgeline Road and Plaza Drive.


Two suspects are in custody and there is a possible search for a third.

Authorities initially responded to the incident just before 2 p.m. Authorities were still working to evacuate children from the school at 3:30 p.m.

FBI and ATF agents also responded to the incident.
