In the time of reboots and remakes, a lot of people have been waiting on this announcement for a while. According to the Hollywood Reporter, NBC Universal announced this morning that the famous, much loved teen comedy Saved by The Bell will make a return to their streaming service "Peacock" that will launch in April of 2020.

The show will revolve around Zac Morris (Mark Paul Gosseler) now as a Califonia Governor closing some schools causing students to find new learning homes. Some of those students end up at Bayside High, the famed school from the series. A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano, (Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley) will not only star in the show but produce it as well.

The show has been through a lot of incarnations, including The College Years, The New Class, and a couple of TV movies. Screech became the Assistant Principle at one point even. But how could any one forget the stories revolving around drug use (I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so....scared) or guns in schools or bullying. For a good laugh go find the online series Zac Morris is trash.

If there is any one show that brings back some memories of adolescence, this would be at the top of the list. In fact my first real crush was Kelly, Tiffany Amber Thiessen, who sadly is not yet confirmed for the show. In today's age some reboots are good, most are not. My fingers are crossed for this one
