RETRO 102.5’s ’39 1/2 Pole of Candy Giveaway’

As RETRO 102.5 goes All Christmas for the 2025 holiday season, we thought of a fun giveaway tailored around one of everybody's favorite Christmas songs, "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch." Why not give away a 39 1/2 pole? A 39 1/2 foot pole... of candy!

For many years, I've thought it would be fun to give away a big, 39 1/2 pole, just for fun; a stupid prize that a listener might get a chuckle out of winning. But, trying to create that long of a pole, that someone could put in their car to take home, was problematic. Plus, who would actually want to take a pole like that home? I couldn't let go of the idea, however.

As I was discussing the pole idea with a friend over Thanksgiving 2025, he brought up how there are "..those yard-long candy bars..." I had not heard of them; I was intrigued. I sprung into action on what would become, hopefully, our yearly Christmas Contest.

THE PRIZE:

• 39 1/2 feet of Yard-Long boxes of candy bars. 13 full boxes and a little left over, to be exact, reaching (end-to-end) 39 1/2 feet. Each box contains 18 candy bars. 7 boxes have 18 Twix twin bar packs, and 6 boxes have 18 1.86 oz. Snickers bars.

HOW TO WIN:

• Through December 21, 2025, listen for RETRO 102.5 to play, "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch." Each time you hear it, message us with the RETRO 102.5 app (Chat w/RETRO button.) The more times you let us know it played, the more chances at a "39 1/2 Foot Pole of Candy [Bars!]
