I am the son of a Korean/Vietnam veteran. I am so proud of my Dad and am fortunate that he is there for me still. He, and our family went through the sacrifices that so many vets and families are today. Please honor them, with your thoughts, a smile and respect. It hasn't always been that way. It's still a dangerous world as recent events prove.

My Dad's name is Roy and my Mom's name is Betty and somehow they made it through some very tough times together and gave me so much to be thankful for in the face of adversity. We were, and are, not unique, especially in these times.

It makes me who I am today.

A friend posted this today and it absolutely floored me. Please give it a watch and if you feel so inclined drop in a comment of appreciation for those who are giving to our country every day by scrolling down. Especially those whose families are from our local community. But break out the tissues first.

Thank you and God bless you and your family!
