
One Love: A Look Inside Colorado’s 22nd Raising Cane’s – in Loveland
Raising Cane's has been around since 1996; in its 30th year, Colorado gained its 22nd location in east Loveland. It seemed fitting, with "One Love" being a motto for the company.
When Did the Very Fist Raising Cane's Open in Colorado?
Fort Collins, it would seem, was the lucky city to get the state's first Raising Cane's back before 2007. Maybe it had something to do with founder, Todd Graves, having attend Louisiana State University. The South College location is notorious for causing traffic backups.
Where is Loveland's Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers?
It was in the spring of 2025, that we let you know that Loveland would be getting its own Raising Cane's, west of I-25, along Eisenhower Boulevard near Loveland Ford. By the time that the Loveland Raising Cane's did open, a new McDonald's had been open for a few months, right next door.
Hard Hats and Salmon for Hard-Working Employees
It's interesting the things you do find out about a company when writing up a story about a new location, as I did with Loveland's Raising Cane's. Two things that stood out, were about how they celebrate employees.

Once you've worked for Raising Cane's you receive a hard hat, a symbol of Todd Graves having worked as a boilermaker in Los Angeles trying to raise funds to start his restaurant. After five years, employees receive a commemorative Mounted Sockeye salmon, a symbol of Graves' work as a fisherman, again, raising funds for Raising Cane's.
