Inside Downtown Loveland’s Only Year-Round Rooftop Patio Bar

Many of Loveland's restaurant options include things like great food, service and atmosphere; not many, however, include a rooftop patio bar. One was introduced to Downtown in July of 2025.

Downtown Loveland 'Hot Spot' Was Once an Italian Restaurant

For decades, 124 East 4th Street in Downtown Loveland, there was a an Italian restaurant, Cipoletti's. They had a very unique revolving door to enter the establishment. That door remained when it became The Pourhouse in 2009.

The Pourhouse is one of Loveland's most-popular dining/drinking destinations; they're known for having 72 beers on tap, a great menu, and live music. I can attest that the place gets pretty busy on the weekends; it can be tough to find a table.

After years of planning, dealing with City of Loveland requirements, and finally construction, The Pourhouse's rooftop patio bar welcomed customers in late July of 2025. I was there that first week to check out the long-anticipated bar.

Once you walk up the 27 steps, you find a big and bright bar, most of which is inside, with a great patio with 10 tables overlooking 4th Street. You can also sit at the 'Garage Door' window, much like The Pourhouse has a street level.

The full menu is available upstairs, though there are much fewer than 72 beers on tap. Except for a couple, the tapped beers upstairs are only available upstairs. I found they had a great selection, and of course they have bottled beers and a full bar. The A/C inside the rooftop bar was working great on the hot July day that I was there.
