Population: You – Would You Live In One Of Colorado’s Tiny Towns?
Population: you.
Okay, maybe not literally - but could you imagine ever living in a town with virtually no people living in it?
(I couldn't.)
Northern Colorado Living
The Coloradoan reported both Weld County and Larimer County were among two of the fastest-growing Colorado counties, according to data from the 2020 U.S. Census.
If you're living in Northern Colorado, this more than likely won't come as a surprise to you; in the last decade, Weld County's population has increased by over 30%, boosting its population to nearly 330,000 (328,981, to be exact) in 2020.
Larimer County grew by 20%, according to 2020 U.S. Census data, and still remains the most populous county in Northern Colorado with 359,066 residents.
What's more? Weld County is on track to take Larimer's throne to become the most populous county in the area by the end of this decade.
vs. Tiny Town Living
As per data collected from the 2020 U.S. Census, among the 457 total cities in Colorado, the smallest one has a population of just 7.
Maybe it's just the city girl in me, but I couldn't fathom ever living in a place that small.
I mean, in a tiny town, where do you go to shop? Is there anywhere to go out to eat? And, given there aren't many people living in many of these tiny towns, is there even anything to do?
I have so many questions, but one thing I know for sure is that I'd never survive living in a tiny town.
Could you?
