Pier 1 Imports Closing 450 Stores, Loveland and Fort Collins Spared

Pier 1 Imports has a lot of great home furnishings. It looks like, however, they're not having great sales. They filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

According to the Repoter-Herald, Pier 1 filed for Chapter 11 protection on Monday, Februaray 17, 2020, to help in the closing of half of their 900 stores and to facilitate the sale of the company.

'Sale of the company.' That does not sound good.

Colorado Pier 1 Imports closures include Boulder, Colorado Springs (2 stores,) Littleton and Avon.
