My morning show colleaugues started complaining this morning after I applied my favorite pain and bruise relief, Tiger Balm. The active ingredient is camphor, but the thing that makes it smell so great (says me) is menthol.

This stuff is amazing. Since I am regularly in 'good' pain from activity, I go through a lot of the stuff. My latest problem is the nasty bursitis that pops out on my elbow whenever I take a trip to what I like to call Righteous Bifftown, also known as the place where my body meets the concrete at high rates of speed in one of Colorado's wonderful skateparks.

It also works well, on strains, sprains, stretches, tears, pulls and tweaks.

I have two other main topical analgesics that I use on a regular basis; Biofreeze and Zheng Gu Shui. Both provide the excellent tingling sensation associated with menthol and do a great job relieving pain.
