Pamela Anderson Says Famous Colorado Actor Exposed Himself to Her
Actress and model Pamela Anderson has a new memoir and Netflix documentary coming out on January 31st. As details of the special and excerpts of the book have been leaked, with them have come some pretty revealing stories about her time in the entertainment industry.
One particularly interesting story that multiple media outlets have seized on involves a famous actor and comedian from Colorado, Tim Allen. He was the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story movies, in addition to several successful stand-up specials and a few sitcoms over the course of his career. In one of those - probably his most famous role - Allen starred as Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor in the ABC sitcom "Home Improvement" from 1991 to 1998.
Home Improvement was loosely based on Allen's stand up act, and focused on Tim and his family, in addition to his career as the host of a DIY-type TV show sponsored by fictional Binford Tools. Anderson was also cast on the show for its first two seasons as Binford's first "tool girl" Lisa, and the announcer for the fictional TV show within the TV show, called "Tool Time."
She alleges in her soon-to-be-released memoir that on the first day of shooting Home Improvement, Allen exposed himself to her in the hallway outside her dressing room.
“On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably,” says an excerpt from her book, "Love, Pamela," released exclusively to Variety magazine.
Anderson, of course, had appeared in Playboy Magazine prior to starring in Home Improvement and meeting Allen. She would have been 23 years old at the time, Allen was 37.
Reps for Tim Allen have been quick to deny the allegation, saying, "No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing."
Anderson's memoir "Love Pamela" will be released on January 31, and her documentary "Pamela, A Love Story" will also be released on Netflix the same day. You can see the trailer below.
