Oskar Blues Goes ‘Yellow’ With Mustard Beer
August 1 is Colorado Day and it's National Mustard Day. Oskar Blues, based out of Colorado, has introduced a beer just in time for baseball and hot dogs.
On August 1, 2020, Oskar Blues will release their new beer in partnership with the classic yellow mustard maker French's, 'Mustard Beer.'
It's a 5.2% light wheat beer, available for a limited time, like summer.
According to a release from the brewery:
The beer includes hints of key lime, lemon, tangerine, and passion fruit to create a tart, refreshing match for the spice and zip of yellow mustard. The result is a crisp and slightly salty beer with a tropical depth of flavor perfect for summer backyard barbeques and fall tailgates.
Their Head Brewer, Juice Drapeau added:
With French’s Mustard Beer, we elevated the Classic Yellow Mustard flavor with tangy lemon and lime to create a tropical wheat ale I’d pair with a loaded hot dog on the hottest day of the year.
Sounds to me like a beer worth trying, especially with the Colorado Rockies in town for a homestand against the Padres.
