One Of Colorado’s Best Restaurants Set To Close For Good Jan 12
If there's anything to be happy about with 2024 coming to a close, it would be that hopefully it ends the trend of longtime favorite restaurants closing across the state of Colorado.
The announcement came yesterday from a spot on 6th Ave in Denver, even just recently named to Westword's Top 100 Restaurants in Denver.
Now they're sadly also reporting that Fruition at 1313 East Sixth Avenue is set to permanently close their doors after nearly 20 years in business. Their last dinner service will be on January 12.
Calling Frution "the little restaurant that could," owner Alex Seidel announced on Facebook, "After 18 incredible years, I’ve made the bittersweet decision to close the doors of Fruition. What began as a dream in our tiny kitchen on 6th Avenue grew into something far beyond what I could have imagined."
Seidel's first Denver restaurant led to him having much success as he expanded his footprint to include other well known Colorado eateries like Mercantile Dining & Provision at Union Station, and expanded that out to Denver International Airport as well.
If you've never had the chance to check out Fruition for yourself, you'll be able to dine there between now and January 12, with the exceptions of being closed over Christmas and New Year's Day. But there is a special New Year's Eve event with a 5-course tasting menu you're able to check out as well. You can make your reservations for that on their website.
