Loveland Fire Rescue, Poudre Fire Authority, Windsor Severance Fire Rescue and Thompson Valley EMS all responded to the call. The pilot of the plane was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies, and the passenger was uninjured.

Fortunately, there were no reported vehicles involved. Firefighters made sure there were no fire hazards present, and turned the crash scene over to investigators.

Loveland Police tweeted that the crash at Crossroads Boulevard and Byrd Drive was the result of the plane losing power after taking off from FNL.

On Wednesday, October 6, the first commercial flight since 2015 took off from FNL. Avelo is now offering flights directly from Northern Colorado to Hollywood, and a new terminal is set to open at FNL in 2024.
