Since 1810 Oktoberfest has been an annual tradition.

We should all be so thankful for Prince Ludwig's marriage to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. (The reason we have an Oktoberfest). While the origins of the celebration began in Munich, Germany it has since spread across the world.

Of all the Oktoberfest celebrations we have one of the best right in our back yard.  According to the WalletHub website, Denver has one of the best Oktoberfest celebrations in the country. The website based their choices on 24 different criteria, including Oktoberfest festivals and parties, breweries, beer gardens, German restaurants, beer prices, and the cost of hotel rooms and sausage. Yes sausage.

You will have a few opportunities to celebrate Oktoberfest in Denver this year.  The celebration runs two weekends, September 20-22 and 27-29.For the full line up of events, parties, and locations see the Denver Oktoberfest website here.
