More Closures Loom For Popular Colorado Restaurant Chain
Another year and another longtime favorite restaurant is set to close some more locations.
Seems like such is life in the fast lane for any business that rapidly grows, undergoes changes and then takes a bit of a dip.
Noodles & Company was launched 30-years ago this year, in Broomfield, CO back in 1995. The first location was in the Cherry Creek area. They quickly earned great reviews and rapidly grew first across the state of Colorado, then began to expand to other states.

By 2022, there were 458 locations across 31 states, all bearing that homegrown Colorado noodle-goodness we've all come to know and love. I remember when the first NoCo location was opened off Timberline and Harmony in Fort Collins. I used to love that place!

Everyone could enjoy something a little bit different - whether Pad Thai or Italian vibes or just some fire Mac 'N Cheese. The common thread was noodles, and they gave everyone something different for each variety of taste buds.

Fast forward to 2025, and after releasing their 1st quarter earnings report, now comes news that instead of closing 12-15 locations as they indicated last year, they'll now likely close up to 21 locations across the United States - a mix of corporate owned and underperforming franchise locations - at some point this year.
According to their website, they currently operate 380 company-owned locations and 89 franchised.
They have yet to announce which locations will be closing, but one can only hope none of the Northern Colorado locations will be affected. Otherwise where will I get my parmesan crusted chicken on top of Cavatappi pasta with their spicy, creamy marinara?
