This Cafe in Colorado Has Spurred Hundreds and Hundreds of Cat Adoptions
Colorado is full of animal lovers, big and small. From horses to little chihuahuas, being a pet owner can warm the heart. There's a place in Loveland that helps you find a cat for your home.
When people think of Loveland, I imagine them thinking of all the sculptures that the town has. It's true, there are a lot of them, which the town is proud of. Lovelanders can also be proud of this little business in Downtown that caters to cat lovers.
It had been many, many years since any business had found reasonable success prior to NoCo Cafe opening at 123 East 5th Street in Downtown Loveland
NoCo Cat Cafe opened in early 2023 in Downtown Loveland, along 5th Street next to where the dive bar, Top Hat, stood for decades. Top Hat closed a year prior to NoCo Cat Cafe opening; I wonder if they would have chosen their spot if Top Hat was still in operation.
What is the NoCo Cat Cafe in Downtown Loveland?
NoCo Cat Cafe, the first of its kind in Northern Colorado, has kittens and cats on the premises that are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and are available for adoption. After paying a $12 entry fee, people can play with the cats, have coffee (and other drinks) and snacks, and just relax. The cafe is hoping you'll adopt one (or more) of the cats.

The cost of adopting a cat generally runs about $250; though there are lesser priced felines. The costs (the $12 plus adoption fees) hasn't hurt their business at all, since its been open.
Not being a huge fan of cats myself, I found it amazing (and great) when I learned in July of 2025 that NoCo Cat Cafe was close to having facilitated nearly 1,000 adoptions.
