New Payment Option, Price Hike For Broncos Season Ticket Holders
If you are a Denver Broncos season ticket holder, the way you pay for your tickets - and how much you pay for your tickets - could change come next season.
According to the Denver Post, the Broncos sent an email to all season-ticket holders Wednesday morning (Jan. 19) that outlined a new payment option for the 2022 NFL season.
As per the email, account holders will now be able to pay for their tickets in three ways: in full, between two installments, or a new four-quarter plan.
The first payment — whether you plan to pay in full, 50%, or 25% — is due by Feb. 24; this comes as a change for next season, as ticket holders previously were required to pay in full or at least 50% by the first payment deadline.
The final three deadlines for the four-quarter plan are slated for March 24, May 19, and June 16.
“Essentially, what we try to do every year is look at how we can have initiatives that will help our fans and add value,” Broncos vice president of ticketing, sales, and service Marc Jackson said in a phone interview, as per the Denver Post.
“What we landed on is the fact that not only do we want to launch (the renewal process) earlier, which does give our season-ticket members more time to pay, but by also offering more payment options, particularly extended ones, it requires less of an up-front financial commitment.”
Jackson took actual ticket holders into consideration when establishing the four-quarter plan idea, which stemmed from a “combination of conversations with our season-ticket members, whether on the phone, focus groups or at the games and our internal conversations.”
Here's some incentive for you - all ticket holders who pay in full will be eligible to win free season tickets during the 2022 season — there will be one winner apiece from the reserved/general sections and the club sections. Jackson said the winners will be offered the option of a full refund or to roll over their payment to the 2023 season.
Broncos Hike Price On Over 50% Of Season Tickets
Next season, for general reserved seating - which doesn’t include the by-contract club seating areas - the Broncos will increase prices on 58% of its seats.
However, there will be no price change on 39% of the seats, while there will be a decrease of 3% of the seats at Empower Field at Mile High.
Something else to note - Jackson said prices for parking passes will remain unchanged for the 22nd consecutive season.
