Many Northern Coloradans will be having a 3-day weekend to celebrate the 4th of July. Due to budget cutbacks, Loveland has many taking Monday off too- without pay.

I read just the other day how the Las Vegas Fire Department slashed $10 million from their budget and thought, 'Wow.'  Then came word that my hometown has to make more adjustments to its own budget.

The City of Loveland tweeted out on Thursday, July 2, 2020, that most city offices will be closed on Monday, July 6, with those personnel being put on furlough for the day, as part of a broad package of cost-cutting measures needed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
