Monday Was Airports’ Slowest Day in Ten Years, DIA Remains Virtually Empty
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reported that this time last year, over two million travelers passed through airports across the United States, but this was not the case this year.
Good news, people are staying home. According to The Denver Channel, Monday, March 30 had the lowest number of travelers in the last decade:154,080 people total screened at security checkpoints.
A TSA public affairs spokesperson said that this time one year ago, 2.3 million travelers were screened, The Denver Channel shared. That's a difference of 2,145,920 people.
Colorado's Stay-at-Home Order urges you to only go out when necessary, so traveling is discouraged. The order began March 26 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on April 11, however is subject to change.
