Messy Monday as Truck Crashes Into Longtime Favorite Loveland Shop
Mind Imprints has been in Loveland, at the same location, for decades. Growing up in Loveland in the 80s, they were the only place to get your little league jerseys.
I thought I had a crummy Monday when it started by cutting my lip while shaving. That definitely takes the back seat (pun intended) when it comes to a pickup truck crashing into a business.
Located on Highway 287 (Garfield) just north of Orchards Shopping Center, Mind Imprints (now known simply as "MI Sports" currently provides sports wear (specializing in swim gear) as well as providing embroidery and screen printing. When my brother and I were kids, we'd get cool screen printed shirts there; I remember one that was the inside of the tricked-out sleeping bed of a OTR truck: 'Titled Hilton.' I was 10.
On Monday, November 15, 2021, a pickup truck sure left an impression with the store, as it crashed through a wall near their parking lot and into the building.
Long ago, Ellis Western Wear used to be in this area, if not exactly where MI Sports is today. Ellis had a great covered wagon neon sign. Of course, today Ellis Ranch is widely popular as a wedding venue outside of town.
With luck, MI Sports will be back in business, quickly; maybe with a 'Pickup Sale.'
