Meet The Broncos Sixth Starting QB Since 2017

Brandon Allen: 6'2". 27 years old. 4.84 seconds in the 40 yard dash. University of Arkansas.  201st player picked in the sixth round of the 2016 draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also played for the Los Angeles Rams for a short period of time before coming in to Denver as Joe Flacco's backup, when they picked him up off of waivers on September 1.

Brandon Allen will be backed up by Quarterbacks Brett Rypien and Drew Lock. Combined, all the QB's have zero regular season snaps. Yes, that's none. Nada. Zilch. Allen said "It has taken a while. You never want to see a starter go down and so we're feeling for Joe right now, but this is the opportunity you work for."

It looks like Flacco will not need surgery, but Head Coach Vic Fangio says they are still evaluating. Flacco is expected to miss five to six weeks with a herniated disk in his neck.
