She's been in a lot of things, a few of them she's been one of the stars, but she's always a "hoot." Do you know her?

I can see where not everyone has HBO, where I first saw Kristen's work. Maybe not everyone has seen the show where she did all 65 episodes. Those shows are only two of the things that this funny lady has been a part of, after growing up in Longmont.

She has a kooky voice, but that voice has helped her become a success. She can make the funniest faces, too. She seems to have been born to make people laugh. Did she get her sense of humor from her childhood growing up around Longmont? One wonders.

Seriously, Kristen had to be a fun kid, to be so great at being funny. After going to Skyline in Longmont, in 1996, she went on to the CU Boulder for a year before graduating from Northwestern. After college, she went onto to start her comedy career in New York City.

It was just a few years after that, that things really began taking off, with Kristen landing roles in various projects, including the movie "Kate & Leopold," and the TV show, "The Education of Max Bickford."

Some would argue that her first big project was when she was on HBO's 2006-2007 hit, "Flight of the Conchords," as the band's only fan and stalker, 'Mel.'

Though it only lasted two seasons, that show was brilliant, and she killed every "weird" scene she was in. I highly recommend finding it and giving it a go. Since then, Kristen has been in dozens of things, including "Despicable Me 2," "Th Daily Show," and as Bob's 9-year-old daughter, 'Louise' on "Bob's Burgers."

In live-action fare, she was on the crazy Fox hit, along with Will Forte, "The Last Man on Earth." The show had three seasons and 65 episodes of Carol. She's so funny and great on that show.

Is Kirsten the funniest person from Longmont? I'd have to say, "Yes."
