Larimer County Records 70 COVID-19 Deaths In December
Larimer County's COVID-19 death toll grew by 2 over the weekend, bringing the county's overall total of deaths since March to 151.
Among the 151 deaths, 70 of them were recorded last month alone - making December the deadliest month of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The deaths accounted for in December make up 46% of all COVID-19 related deaths in Larimer County and equate to more than three times the 22 deaths reported in November, the county's second deadliest month of the pandemic.
Among the December deaths, 21 were in their 90s, 26 were in their 80s, 14 were in their 70s and five were in their 60s. The other three deaths were a 30-year-old, a 47-year-old and a 58-year-old.
According to data via the Larimer County Department of Health's website, the county's cumulative total of cases stood at 14,949 as of Monday morning (Jan. 4).
Larimer County remains a high-risk area with a two-week positivity rating of 6.9% and an overall prevalence rate for the past 14 days of 337 cases per 100,000 residents.
