Camping can resume soon, but when can we swim again?

According to Larimer County, you can camp (not just in an RV now) in county parks, like Horsetooth, starting June 1, but all picnic areas and swim beaches remain closed because of COVID-19.

While the county doesn't provide any further information, CBS4 in Denver reported on why Colorado's State Parks are still barred: to prevent large gatherings (like that one at Boulder Creek).

Luckily, the county's parks, like Carter Lake and Horsetooth, are open for recreational use right now, but you're reminded to follow safety guidelines, like respecting a six-foot distance from others, keeping groups small and covering up with a cloth mask — yes, even while outdoors.
